Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal has shared a glimpse into how he stays grounded off the pitch, making it clear that he still lives like any other teenager despite his rapid rise in football.
The 18-year-old explained that disconnecting from the game is essential for his peace of mind and long-term performance.
“I do what any 18-year-old does: hang out with his friends, look after his brother, play PlayStation, go for walks… Things like that,” said the Spaniard, stressing that he doesn’t want football to consume every moment of his day.
He added that he avoids constantly thinking about upcoming matches or obsessing over videos of the full-back he will face, preferring instead to enjoy his free time fully and switch on only when he steps onto the pitch.
Describing his perfect day, Yamal said he would start with breakfast on a terrace, then play a casual game at the Rocafonda sports center, before heading out on his bike or scooter with friends.
For him, these “normal stuff” moments are what keep him happy, relaxed, and ready to give his all for Barcelona when it matters most.
Lamine Yamal has played 19 games, scored ten goals and assisted eight in La Liga this season.
