Lamine Camara transfer interest intensifies as Monaco stand firm on valuation

Crystal Palace have made a verbal offer worth more than €41m for AS Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara, but the Ligue 1 club have rejected the proposal, according to Nizaar Kinsella.

The bid would have represented a record investment for the London club, yet Monaco quickly turned down the financial terms. Despite that decision, interest in the Senegal international remains strong, with several Premier League clubs monitoring his situation.

Camara’s consistent performances in Ligue 1 and for Senegal have increased his profile across Europe. Crystal Palace are therefore facing significant competition as they consider whether to return with an improved offer in the coming weeks.

Brighton are also in contact with the player’s representatives, according to an exclusive report by Africafoot. The club, known as the Seagulls, are among a growing group of teams interested in the 22-year-old midfielder.

Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Nottingham Forest are also understood to be keeping a close eye on Camara’s position. His performances have made him one of the most sought-after midfielders currently available, although Monaco’s rejection of Palace’s first approach underlines their reluctance to sell below their valuation.

Camara is valued at €40m and earns an annual salary of €920,000, equivalent to 598,000,000 CFA francs. His contract with Monaco runs until 2029, giving the French club a strong negotiating position as transfer interest continues to build.
