Laley Fofana: France and Burkina Faso midfielder joins Sanatatea from Minaur

France and Burkina Faso midfielder Laley Fofana has joined Romanian club Sanatatea from Minaur on a free transfer.

The 25-year-old defensive midfielder switches clubs in Romania after leaving Minaur, completing the move on 4 August 2026.

Fofana’s arrival gives Sanatatea an experienced option in the centre of midfield as the club adds to its squad. His ability to operate in a defensive midfield role will be central to his involvement with his new side.

He spent his most recent spell with Minaur before making the move to Sanatatea. Both clubs are based in Romania, meaning the transfer keeps Fofana in the country while taking him to a new team.

Fofana’s dual nationality links him to both France and Burkina Faso. The move represents the latest step in the midfielder’s club career, with Sanatatea now his new destination.
