Within a month, Lacina Traoré has found himself associated with two different clubs. After making a move from Anzhi Makhachkala to AS Monaco earlier in the month for an undisclosed fee, the Ivorian striker is now set to grace the Premier League stage for the remainder of the season. He was introduced to Everton on Thursday, where he will spend the next six months on loan.
“I’m here to put in the hard work, above all else. I aim to showcase my true abilities. Although there were other clubs interested, I believed Everton had a strong chance of European qualification. I’m pleased with my decision,” Traoré revealed. “I carefully considered my options, and I believe Everton’s style of play aligns better with my technical abilities. I anticipate being able to adapt more seamlessly here.”
“When Monaco informed me of the loan move, I wasn’t certain where I would end up. Arriving at a club and being loaned out immediately wasn’t something I had anticipated. However, Monaco saw fit to send me to a club like Everton to enhance my development, gain valuable experience, and further my skills,” he affirmed.
It’s worth noting that Traoré was linked with a move to West Ham before joining Everton.
