La Viena have begun the first phase of a player-development programme in Lisbon, Portugal, giving members of their squad the opportunity to gain experience of European football.
The initiative is part of the club’s plans to develop young talent and improve the players’ technical and physical abilities through exposure to different footballing environments.
The Lisbon placement is also intended to strengthen La Viena’s youth system by helping players learn about different coaching methods, as well as the latest approaches to physical preparation and technical development.
The club believes the experience will broaden the players’ understanding of the game and provide valuable insight into how European clubs operate. It will also allow them to benefit from modern training systems while developing their tactical awareness and individual skills.
La Viena, under president Walid Al-Taib, are continuing to seek opportunities that will help their players gain experience, improve their ability and prepare for more advanced stages of their sporting careers.
The programme forms part of the club’s wider strategy of investing in young talent and building a strong group of players capable of competing at a higher level.
La Viena play in the Professional League and are currently 18th.
