Kyliane Dong: Bolton sign Augsburg winger on season-long loan
Bolton Wanderers have signed left winger Kyliane Dong from FC Augsburg on a loan deal for the 2026-27 season. The 21-year-old moves from the Bundesliga club to the Championship side on a temporary transfer dated 7 July 2026.
Dong, a right-footed attacker who operates primarily on the left flank, arrives at Bolton with a current market valuation of 900,000. Born in Evry-Courcouronnes on 27 September 2004, he holds both French and Cameroonian nationality and stands at 1.78m.
The move follows a year in which Dong was contracted to Augsburg and gained experience on loan at Pau FC in France. He initially joined Augsburg from ESTAC Troyes in July 2025, after progressing through the French clubs system from youth level to the first team.
Dongs loan to Pau in September 2025 marked his first move back to French football after leaving Troyes. His market value rose during his time in Pau, from 500,000 at the end of his Troyes spell to 900,000 by May 2026, reflecting a steady increase over the past year.
Before joining Augsburg, Dong had been elevated from Troyes B team to the senior side in 2023, having previously come through their youth and academy ranks. Earlier in his development he spent time at Football Club Fleury 91s youth set-up before moving to Troyes formation programme in 2018.
Dong is scheduled to return to Augsburg at the end of his loan on 30 June 2027, giving Bolton one full campaign with the winger in the Championship.
