Kylian Mbappé surpasses Cristiano Ronaldo with stunning goal tally at Real Madrid
Kylian Mbappé continues to etch his name in Real Madrid history, surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal tally from his debut season.
The French star struck twice in Real Madrid’s 4-1 victory over Villarreal on matchday 29 of La Liga.
The 26-year-old leveled the score at 1-1 in the 17th minute before putting Madrid ahead just six minutes later. With those goals, Mbappé now boasts 31 goals and five assists in 44 appearances for Los Blancos, edging past Ronaldo, who netted 30 goals in his first season at the club.
Mbappé’s journey with Real Madrid began on 14 August 2024, when he made his debut in the UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta, scoring in a 2-0 win. His La Liga debut came four days later in a 1-1 draw against Mallorca. On 1 September, he opened his league account with a brace in Madrid’s 2-0 triumph over Real Betis.
With plenty of matches still to play, Mbappé’s record-breaking campaign is shaping up to be one for the history books.
