Kylian Mbappe pushing to be ready for El Clasico

Kylian Mbappe is doing everything he can to be fit in time for this weekend’s El Clasico against Barcelona, even training alone on what was scheduled as a rest day for the Real Madrid squad.

According to Marca, the French star worked individually in Madrid after recently returning from a short, club‑approved trip to Italy. He has been out of action since feeling discomfort in his hamstring during the match against Real Betis and is now racing the clock to make the squad.

Despite recent criticism over his attitude and reports that he has grown distant from some teammates in the dressing room, Mbappe’s focus is firmly on getting back on the pitch as soon as possible. The 27-year-old will undergo MRI scans tomorrow to assess whether he can be available for the showdown with Barça.

Individually, Mbappe is enjoying a standout season with 41 goals and six assists, even though Real Madrid are heading towards a year without trophies. His perceived individualism, limited chemistry with teammates in attack, defensive work rate and leadership have all been questioned, adding even more pressure ahead of a potentially decisive Clasico return.
