Kwaku Karikari: Ghanaian striker seals €600k return to FK Zeleznicar Pancevo from AC Horsens

Ghanaian centre-forward Kwaku Karikari has rejoined Serbian side FK Zeleznicar Pancevo from AC Horsens in Denmark in a permanent €600,000 deal.

The 24-year-old, who stands at 1.83m and plays primarily through the middle, heads back to Pancevo after spending last season with Horsens, where he had initially arrived in 2024 for a reported €300,000 from Serbian club Jedinstvo Ub. His move marks a renewed commitment from Zeleznicar, who previously had Karikari on loan during the 2025-26 campaign.

Karikari’s latest switch comes at the start of the 2026-27 Serbian Super Liga season, with the forward yet to make an appearance this term. His transfer is underpinned by a current market valuation of €2m, reflecting the rise in his stock since leaving Ghana for Europe.

The striker first moved out of his home country in 2022 when he joined Jedinstvo Ub from Liberty Professionals, having earlier come through the ranks at Charity Stars and Liberty’s youth and senior setups. A loan spell with Dreams FC in Ghana preceded his step into European football.

After his loan at Zeleznicar was brought to an end in June 2026 and he returned briefly to AC Horsens, the Serbian club have now secured Karikari’s services outright for the new campaign.
