Pyramids FC head coach Krunoslav Jurcic is reportedly set to return to begin pre-season training with the team, despite future uncertainty.
Despite guiding the Egyptian club to win the CAF Champions League for the first time, Jurcic has been tipped to leave the club, with Rulani Mokwena in line to take over the club as the new head coach.
Despite the interest in the former Wydad Casablanca coach, Jurcic is set to remain in charge heading into the new campaign.
It is understood that the 55-year-old will officially return to Cairo on 5 July 2025 to begin pre-season preparations ahead of the new football season.
Mokwena was recently in the Egyptian capital to discuss the team’s transfer plans before returning to his homeland in Croatia, but the Champions League-winning coach is expected back this coming weekend to commence pre-season testing from 8 July.
However, reports suggest that the club is undecided where the squad will hold their pre-season camp, with the Netherlands and Slovenia being the two likeliest destinations.
Meanwhile, Congolese striker, Fiston Mayele, has been tipped to leave the club with Saudi Pro League side, Al Fateh, leading the race for the signature of the forward.
