Pyramids coach Krunoslav Jurčić has urged his team to stay sharp and avoid slipping like rivals Al Ahly when they host Orlando Pirates in Friday’s CAF Champions League semi-final return leg in Cairo.
With the first leg in Johannesburg ending goalless, Jurčić knows the tie is finely balanced. Speaking at the pre-match press conference, he highlighted his belief in the squad’s ability to step up, especially at home.
He assured fans of a more attacking display at the Air Defence Stadium, promising that Pyramids would press for goals while staying disciplined in defence.
“Pyramids do not lose at home,” he said, noting the club’s strong form in Cairo as a key advantage. Still, he praised Orlando’s impressive away record, referencing their wins over Al Ahly and Mouloudia Algeria.
Jurčić stressed the importance of patience and composure, warning that rushing forward could create dangerous gaps. He confirmed the full fitness of key players like Ramadan Sobhi and Siddiq Egola, expressing confidence in the squad’s readiness to deliver.
