Wydad misses out on croatian coach

Former Pyramids FC head coach Krunoslav Jurčić has disclosed where he hopes to continue his managerial career after bringing his spell with the Egyptian club to an end at the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.

Jurčić Reflects on Pyramids Departure

Speaking on “Modern mti,” the Croatian tactician admitted that leaving the Egyptian side was not an easy decision.

“I welcome all Egyptian fans and all supporters. The decision to leave Pyramids was difficult and my time with the club has come to an end.”

Jurčić explained that while the club attempted to keep him, family considerations ultimately played a major role in his decision.

“The club did make offers to me, but that wasn’t decisive in my decision. Of course, as a coach like me who works outside his country and whose family is in Croatia, it was difficult to continue in such a situation.”

Saudi Arabia Emerges as Preferred Option

Looking ahead, the former Pyramids manager indicated that he is eager to remain in coaching and identified the Gulf region as a likely destination for the next chapter of his career.

“My next stop? I would like to continue my journey. Perhaps the best option would be to play in Saudi Arabia. They have a strong infrastructure and a strong league, and Saudi Arabia, Qatar, or the UAE could be my next stop.”

Wydad Links Appear Unlikely

Jurčić’s comments come after media reports linked him with a potential move to Wydad Athletic Club. The reports suggested the Croatian coach was close to taking charge of the Moroccan giants and embarking on a new challenge in the national championship.

However, his latest remarks point toward a move to the Gulf region rather than a switch to Moroccan football.
