Leeds United Sign Winger Jordan Botaka on Two-Year Deal
By BBC Sport
Leeds United have confirmed the signing of winger Jordan Botaka from Dutch side Excelsior Rotterdam. The 22-year-old has signed a contract that will keep him at Elland Road until June 2017.
The deal was announced on the club’s official website, with Botaka becoming one of the latest additions to the squad as Leeds continue to reshape their team ahead of the new campaign.
Botaka, who impressed with his pace and flair in the Eredivisie last season, was a regular for Excelsior Rotterdam and has attracted attention for his attacking instincts and technical skill on the flanks.
Often dubbed the “wizard” by fans for his creativity, the Congolese-born winger is expected to bring energy and unpredictability to Leeds’ wide options as they look to climb the Championship table.
The move marks Botaka’s first venture into English football, and Leeds will be hoping the young winger can adapt quickly and make a strong impact over the course of his two-year deal.
