Kossi Senyo handed Equatorial Guinea v Sierra Leone refereeing role in 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed experienced officiating teams for Monday’s second round of 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches, with Togo’s Kossi Senyo selected to referee Equatorial Guinea’s meeting with Sierra Leone.

Senyo will take charge of a closely contested Group fixture as both national sides look to collect valuable points early in the qualifying campaign.

The day’s headline match sees Zimbabwe face the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Group E. Egyptian referee Amin Omar has been appointed to oversee that encounter.

The other appointments include Guinea-Bissau official Ricardo Sanca, who will referee Central African Republic against Burkina Faso, and Tanzanian referee Ahmed Ally, who has been assigned to Tunisia’s match against Botswana.

CAF has chosen experienced officials for the fixtures as the competing teams seek to strengthen their positions at the start of the campaign. With the matches carrying significant importance, discipline and impartial decision-making will be central to the smooth running of Monday’s games.
