The 2013 Togo Football Awards took place in Lomé, recognizing the achievements of Togolese football players. The stars of the night were Kossi Agassa, the Reims goalkeeper, who won the “Best player playing in Europe” award, and Dove Wome, the midfielder from Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), who received the award for the “Best player playing in African championships.” The winners were determined through a popular vote based on criteria established by the Organizing Committee.
In addition to these awards, the national football team Anges de Notsè received three trophies, including the Best Scorer Award, which went to Saibou Badarou from AS Douanes de Lomé. Other awards included Best D1 Coach, Best Referee (Christine Mana Dzodopé), and the Academy Award for Merit for Football Career in Togo, presented to Hounkpati Makwanza, a former Togolese international. The ceremony also involved medical monitoring for over twenty former Togo players whose health is deteriorating.
