It’s a tough situation for Kolo Touré, who’s undoubtedly had an impactful career, especially at clubs like Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool. At 33 years old, the natural question is whether he still has the legs to continue at the top level of European football.
If Liverpool decides not to extend his contract, moving to Major League Soccer (MLS) could be a good next step for him. MLS teams often look for experienced, leadership figures, and Touré would bring both, especially with his vast international experience and leadership at the back. Plus, a move to the U.S. could also allow him a bit more time to manage his body, especially as age starts to catch up.
It’s a common path for players in the latter stages of their career, but it’s also understandable that Touré would want to keep his options open for one more season in the Premier League if he can.
Do you think he should stay in Europe for one last season or would MLS be a good fit for him?
