Koffi Djidji, who joined Torino on loan last summer with an option to buy, is set to remain in the Italian capital as the club has decided to exercise that option.
Currently recovering from surgery, the Ivorian defender has reason to be pleased. Despite featuring in just 14 starts out of 17 matches, Djidji impressed Torino with his solid performances, earning the club’s confidence. Although his contract included a clause allowing for an extension after 20 starts, the club has chosen to reward his contributions and secure his services permanently.
Torino is reportedly prepared to meet the €3 million fee demanded by Nantes to finalize the transfer, confirming their commitment to keeping Djidji in their squad. The decision reflects the club’s satisfaction with his defensive displays and their belief in his potential to continue playing a key role in their backline.
Djidji’s permanent move marks a significant step in his career, providing stability and the opportunity to build on an encouraging season in Serie A.
