Kodjo Fodoh Laba continues to dominate the UAE Pro League’s top scorers’ table, retaining his position as the league’s leading scorer following another impressive performance on December 17, 2024. The Togolese international striker, who plays for Al Ain, now has 14 goals after the completion of the 10th matchday.
Laba’s relentless form shows no signs of slowing down. After netting a hat-trick on the previous matchday, the 30-year-old repeated the feat with another three goals in Al Ain’s 3-1 victory over Al Jazira.
This stellar performance not only secured all three points for his team but also further solidified his lead in the race for the top scorer title in the UAE Pro League.
His closest rival, Omar Kharbin of Al Wahda, remains second in the rankings with 9 goals. Despite Kharbin’s continued threat, he failed to add to his tally during Matchday 10, allowing Laba to extend his advantage.
Meanwhile, the competition for the top positions below Laba and Kharbin has intensified, with a number of players vying for a spot in the top five.
Adel Taarabt and Ali Mabkhout, both of Al Nasr Dubai, are tied in third place with 7 goals apiece. Both players found the net once on the 10th matchday, ensuring they remain in close contention with the league’s top scorers.
The race for the top five positions also sees Caio Lucas (Al Sharjah), Junior Flemmings (Ajman), Mehdi Ghayedi (Al Ittihad Kalba), and Sardar Azmoun (Shabab Al Ahli Dubai), who are all tied on 6 goals each. These players continue to make their mark in the league as they aim to close the gap on the leaders.
As the season progresses, the competition for the top scorer crown in the UAE Pro League remains fierce, with Laba holding a comfortable lead, but several other players ready to challenge for the coveted title.
