Kingsley Kwasi Kwaw has completed a move from Atlantis FC to Vantaan Jalkapalloseura (VJS Vantaa), signing on a free transfer from the Kakkonen Group A side. The 19-year-old centre-forward joins the Ykkönen club after his contract with Atlantis ended, with the deal registered to begin on 2026-03-06 and run until 2026-12-31.
The switch keeps the Finland- and Ghana-eligible striker in Finnish football but elevates him to a higher division, as VJS Vantaa compete in the Ykkönen. The transfer was concluded without a fee, with no official market value listed for the player at the time of the move.
Kwaw arrives at VJS Vantaa as a 1.86 m centre-forward, primarily deployed through the middle in attack. Although still at an early stage of his professional career, he already has experience across several Finnish clubs and tiers, building a résumé that now takes him into a national second-tier environment.
Before joining VJS Vantaa, Kwaw spent the most recent spell of his career with Atlantis FC in Kakkonen Group A. He had moved there from Pallokerho Keski-Uusimaa, with that transfer completed in the 25/26 season. Earlier in 2025, he had been on the books of Pallokerho Keski-Uusimaa after signing from PPJ Helsinki for the 24/25 campaign.
His path through Finnish football has been notably active in recent seasons. In 2024 he played for PPJ Helsinki after arriving from Espoon Palloseura, a move that followed his time with HJK Klubi 04 Helsinki in the 23/24 season. Prior to that, he had already left Pallokerho Keski-Uusimaa once to join HJK Klubi 04 in early 2023, having first stepped out of the HJK Helsinki Youth setup to Pallokerho Keski-Uusimaa in 2022.
Across these moves, Kwaw has remained within Finland’s system, representing clubs that compete in various national tiers and youth structures. The progression from HJK’s youth side through Pallokerho Keski-Uusimaa, HJK Klubi 04, Espoon Palloseura, PPJ Helsinki, and Atlantis FC illustrates a steady climb through senior football, culminating now in a confirmed opportunity in the Ykkönen with VJS Vantaa.
Kwaw was born on 16 Mar 2006 and is listed with dual nationality, representing both Finland and Ghana. His eligibility for two nations adds an international dimension to his profile, even though his entire club career to date has unfolded within Finland.
With this latest move now confirmed and his contract period at VJS Vantaa defined from 2026-03-06 to 2026-12-31, Kwaw’s immediate focus will be on adapting quickly to his new side and establishing himself at Ykkönen level. If he can translate his development across multiple Finnish clubs into consistent performances in a higher division, the transfer could mark a significant step in his professional trajectory and further shape his reputation as a promising young centre-forward in Finnish football.
