King Faisal: Ghana winger joins Ellas Syros on free transfer from AE Larisa
Ghanaian right winger King Faisal has joined Ellas Syros on a free transfer from AE Larisa, signing a deal with the Super League 2 side until 30 June 2027.
The 22-year-old, who can operate across the front line and is comfortable using both feet, makes the move after spending last season on the books of Larisa, where he also had a loan spell at fellow Greek club Egaleo. Ellas Syros have secured the deal without a transfer fee, with Faisal’s current market valuation listed at around €75,000.
Born in Techiman and standing at 1.74m, Faisal arrives with experience of Greek football at both top-flight and second-tier level. He featured in Super League 1 and Super League 2 for Larisa, as well as in the Super League 2 play-out phase, where he recorded one goal and one assist in nine appearances.
Before his move to Greece, Faisal developed in Brazil with Sao Paulo’s under-20 set-up, having joined them from YAP FC in 2023. During his time in Brazil he made 20 appearances in the Brasileiro U20, adding two goals and four assists, and also scored twice in six matches in the Copinha youth tournament.
Faisal first arrived in Greek football in August 2025 when he signed for AE Larisa on a free transfer from Sao Paulo’s youth ranks, later heading to Egaleo on loan in January 2026 before returning at the end of the campaign.
The Ghanaian now begins a new chapter with Ellas Syros, who have added him to their squad on a free transfer running through to the end of the 2026-27 season.
