Killian Sardella: Wolfsburg eye move for Anderlecht right-back

Belgian-Cameroonian defender Killian Sardella of RSC Anderlecht is being linked with a move to German side Wolfsburg, who are exploring a deal for the right-back ahead of the new 2. Bundesliga season.

Sardella, 24, is under contract with Anderlecht until 30 June 2028, meaning the Brussels club are in a strong position in any negotiations and are not under pressure to sell. Wolfsburg are understood to see the defender as a potential reinforcement on the right side of their back line as they reshape their squad following their drop into Germanys second tier.

Born in Duffel and a product of Anderlechts academy, Sardella has been with the first team since 2019 and has established himself as a regular option at right-back. He has accumulated more than 120 appearances in the Jupiler Pro League, as well as experience in European competition, including outings in both the Europa League and the Europa Conference League.

Sardella, who stands at 1.74m and plays predominantly with his right foot, has also featured in domestic cup action for Anderlecht and has been involved in the Belgian leagues championship play-offs, adding to his experience in high-stakes matches.

With a current estimated market value of around 2.5 million and three years remaining on his deal, Anderlecht would likely demand a significant fee to sanction a sale. For now, the defender remains an Anderlecht player, with his long-term contract at the Belgian club providing an important backdrop to any potential talks with Wolfsburg.
