Inter Milan Show Interest in Fiorentina Striker Khouma Babacar
Senegalese forward Khouma Babacar could be on the move this summer, with Inter Milan reportedly eyeing a potential transfer. According to Calciomercato, the Fiorentina striker is being considered by the Nerazzurri as they plan to reinforce their attacking options for next season.
Babacar, 21, has scored six goals in 19 appearances across all competitions this season but has yet to secure a regular starting role under manager Vincenzo Montella. Frequently used as a substitute, the lack of consistent playing time may prompt the striker to seek new opportunities.
Inter Milan are said to be monitoring Babacar’s situation, though he is not currently their top target. The Serie A giants are also pursuing more experienced forwards, including Paris Saint-Germain’s Ezequiel Lavezzi, Manchester City’s Edin Džeko, and Marseille’s André-Pierre Gignac.
Should those primary transfer targets fail to materialise, Inter may turn their attention more seriously toward Babacar as an alternative. The young Senegalese striker, known for his physical presence and finishing ability, is seen as a promising option with potential to develop further.
For Babacar, a move to a club like Inter could offer more minutes on the pitch and a fresh start, though he may need to wait until the summer transfer window to see how the club’s other negotiations unfold.
Fiorentina, meanwhile, may face a decision on whether to keep or cash in on the striker, whose future at the Stadio Artemio Franchi remains uncertain amid interest from other clubs.
