Khalil Ayari: Tunisia winger linked with promotion from PSG U23s to senior side

Tunisia right winger Khalil Ayari, currently with Paris SG U23, is being linked with a move into the Paris Saint-Germain first-team squad in Ligue 1.

The 21-year-old, a left-footed attacker born in Tunis, is under contract with PSG’s Espoirs side until 30 June 2026, a situation that would allow the club to integrate him into the senior set-up without a transfer fee. His development within the Paris structure has attracted attention at a time when the French champions continue to balance established stars with younger options.

Ayari is currently valued at around €1 million, a modest figure by PSG standards that underlines the low financial risk involved should the club decide to register him as part of the senior squad. The internal pathway also offers PSG flexibility as they shape their attacking options for upcoming campaigns.

On the international stage, Ayari is part of Tunisia’s plans around the 2026 World Cup, though he has yet to make an appearance at the tournament, with no minutes played in Tunisia’s three possible matches. His place in that squad nonetheless reflects his standing within the national set-up.

At club level, Ayari has already experienced domestic success, having lifted the Tunisian Cup with Stade Tunisien in the 2023-24 season before his move to Paris. For now, he remains contracted to PSG’s U23 side, with any elevation to the Ligue 1 squad dependent on the club’s assessment of their attacking depth over the remaining years of his deal.
