Khalid Aucho’s representatives take Singida Black Stars to FIFA over unpaid salaries

Ugandan midfielder Khalid Aucho’s representatives have reportedly lodged a complaint with FIFA against Tanzanian side Singida Black Stars over unpaid wages.

Aucho is said to be owed three months’ salary by the club, prompting his representatives to escalate the matter to world football’s governing body after efforts to resolve the outstanding payments failed.

FIFA has reportedly given Singida Black Stars a 15-day deadline to settle the amount owed to the midfielder.

The Tanzanian club now faces the possibility of sanctions if it fails to comply with FIFA’s directive within the stipulated period. One of the potential consequences is a ban on registering new players, which could affect the club’s transfer activity.

The dispute comes after Aucho ended his time with Singida Black Stars. The experienced Uganda international has already left the Tanzanian club and is preparing for the next chapter of his career in Ethiopia.

Aucho is set to join Ethiopian champions Sidama Bunna, with the move expected to provide the midfielder with a fresh start after his spell in Tanzania.

The 32-year-old has built a reputation as one of Uganda’s experienced midfielders, having represented the national team at international level and played for clubs in several African countries.

For Singida Black Stars, however, the immediate priority is resolving the financial dispute with Aucho’s representatives before the FIFA deadline expires.

Failure to settle the outstanding salary could leave the club facing further disciplinary measures and restrictions in the transfer market, adding pressure to its preparations for the new season.

The case also highlights the growing willingness of players and their representatives to use FIFA’s dispute-resolution mechanisms when contractual financial obligations are not honoured.

Singida Black Stars must now act within the 15-day period set by FIFA to avoid the matter escalating and potentially affecting the club’s ability to strengthen its squad through new signings.
