Khalid Aucho inspires Uganda ahead of crucial World Cup qualifiers
Ugandan midfielder Khalid Aucho has emphasized the importance of the upcoming World Cup qualifiers for the nation, expressing deep motivation and confidence as the Cranes prepare for their final Group G matches.
“These games are important for the nation and we have a chance to qualify to go to the World Cup or to go to the playoffs. So it is important for all of us to be here with the mindset that we want to win,” Aucho stated in an interview with FUFA TV.
Aucho’s positive outlook reflects the mood within the Ugandan camp, where camaraderie and readiness abound. “For me I am happy to be here, the players who came are happy, they are fine, we are happy. It gives me motivation that maybe I can score again, so it gives me motivation again to be in this country to push my colleagues,” he added.
The Cranes, currently second in Group G with 15 points from eight games, face Botswana on October 9th and Algeria on October 14th. Aucho thanked fans for their unwavering support, promising, “What we are promised we shall get there.”
