Ghazl El Mahalla have appointed Khaled Galal as their new head coach, replacing Ahmed Khattab after a run of poor results.
The Egyptian club confirmed the appointment on its official Facebook account, following the decision to put Galal in charge of the team.
Galal and his new coaching staff are expected to lead Ghazl El Mahalla’s training session on Friday.
The club also revealed the full make-up of the new technical team:
– Khaled Galal – head coach – Wael Koundy – assistant coach – Tawfik Saqr – assistant coach – Khaled Metwaly – goalkeeping coach – Omar Saad – football director
The 59-year-old Galal has previously managed Zamalek, National Bank, Pharco and Libyan club Al-Tahaddi.
His most recent role came with Ismaily last season, when he took charge during the final stage of the competition. Ismaily were eventually relegated to the Professional League.
Ghazl El Mahalla dismissed Khattab as manager because of the team’s results, with Galal now tasked with taking over the club’s first team.
