Keyan Varela: Servette centre-forward linked with RKC Waalwijk move
Portugal-Cape Verde forward Keyan Varela of Servette FC is being linked with a move to Dutch side RKC Waalwijk as the Keuken Kampioen Divisie club assess attacking reinforcements.
Varela, a 20-year-old right-footed centre-forward, returned to Servette this summer after a loan spell with German club SpVgg Greuther Furth, where he played in the 2025-26 season. His current market value is listed at 1.5m.
Born in Geneva and standing at 1.82m, Varela has come through the Servette system to establish himself in the first-team squad, stepping up from the clubs U19 side in October 2024 before earning a move to the 2. Bundesliga with Greuther Furth on loan in February 2026.
The interest from RKC Waalwijk would mark a first move into Dutch football for Varela, whose development in Switzerland and experience in Germany underline his profile as a young forward with exposure to different European leagues.
No agreement has been reached between Servette and RKC Waalwijk, and the rumour remains at an early stage, with Varela currently contracted to the Swiss Super League club.
