After a remarkable season with Cercle Bruges, which saw him clinch the prestigious Soulier d’Ebène award, Togolese striker Kévin Denkey is looking ahead to his future in football.

Denkey’s standout performance in the Jupiler Pro League, where he netted an impressive 23 goals in 28 matches, alongside an additional 4 goals in 8 play-off matches for the title, has garnered attention across the footballing world.

Speaking at the African Awards gala evening, Denkey hinted at potential changes on the horizon, revealing his thoughts on his future plans.

“I’m not going to lie to you, I think it will be complicated to stay at Cercle. I’m not worrying about it yet, I’m going to give everything so that we finish 4th and go for Europe,” Denkey stated candidly.

Despite speculation surrounding his departure from Cercle Bruges, Denkey remains focused on his current responsibilities on the pitch. While acknowledging discussions about his potential move, Denkey emphasized the importance of maintaining concentration amidst the swirling rumors.

“There is no problem with that, the sports director even spoke about it himself. But my job is on the ground and I have to stay focused. It’s really not easy when there’s all this noise around,” Denkey remarked.

Denkey’s revelation about his future injects a sense of anticipation into the footballing community, with fans and pundits alike eagerly awaiting updates on his next career move.

As he navigates this pivotal moment in his career, Denkey’s dedication to his craft and commitment to excellence continue to shine through, setting the stage for an exciting chapter in his footballing journey.
