Kevin Carlos: Venezia eye move for Nice’s Spanish-Nigerian striker in Serie A swoop
Spanish-Nigerian forward Kevin Carlos of Nice is being linked with a move to Serie A side Venezia as the Italian club explore options to strengthen their attack this summer.
The 25-year-old centre-forward, who is under contract with the Ligue 1 club until 30 June 2030, has emerged as a potential target as Venezia look to add presence at the top end of the pitch ahead of the new campaign. Negotiations are understood to be at a preliminary stage, with no agreement reported between the clubs.
Carlos’s long-term deal at Nice gives the French side a strong position in any talks, and he is currently valued at around €4 million. That figure is expected to serve as a reference point in any discussions over a fee, with Venezia weighing up whether they can strike a deal within their budget.
The striker’s dual Spanish and Nigerian nationality adds to his appeal in a Serie A market increasingly attentive to opportunities across Europe’s top leagues. His profile in France has grown during his time with Nice, where he has developed into a recognised option in the centre-forward role.
For now, Carlos remains a Nice player with four years left on his contract, and the French club are under no immediate pressure to sell as Venezia assess whether to turn their interest into a formal bid.
