Kevin-Prince Boateng Focused on Schalke After Ghana Exclusion
Dropped from Ghana’s national team just before their 2014 World Cup match against Portugal, Kevin-Prince Boateng has shifted his focus entirely to his club career at Schalke 04.
“All that matters now is Schalke,” the 27-year-old midfielder told Schalke’s official website. “At the moment, I can’t say whether or not I’ll play for Ghana again. The coach (Kwesi Appiah) has said he no longer plans to include me in his squad.”
However, Boateng has not ruled out a future return to the national team. “We’ll see what the future holds. If the Ghana Football Association wants me to play for the national team again, we’ll discuss it.”
