Kenyan midfielder Baron Ochieng joins Zamalek
Baron Ochieng has taken a big step in his career after sealing a four-year deal with Egyptian giants Zamalek SC.
The Kenyan midfielder joined the White Castle on a free transfer during the summer transfer window. Ochieng captained Kenya in the Africa U20 Cup of Nations in May.
Baron Ochieng finalized his transfer after meeting with sporting director John Edward, where both parties agreed on the final details. The official announcement came on Thursday, marking the beginning of a fresh challenge for the player who now looks forward to wearing Zamalek colors.
According to Kooora, the club secured approval from the Egyptian Football Association to register Baron Ochieng. A source inside Zamalek confirmed that he has already started group training with his new teammates. The technical staff, led by Belgian coach Yannick Ferreira, will decide when he makes his first competitive appearance.
Zamalek will play Al Masry on September 13th at the Borg El Arab Stadium.
