Paris FC have entered negotiations with Kenyan international Amos Nondi, as the newly promoted Ligue 1 club explores defensive midfield options this transfer window.
The 26-year-old free agent has attracted interest following the expiration of his contract with Armenian side FC Ararat-Armenia on 30 June.
Though contract extension discussions had taken place, Nondi opted to pursue opportunities in more prestigious European leagues.
Nondi is seen as a potential successor to Paris FC’s midfielder Vincent Marchetti. His representative, speaking exclusively, confirmed that initial contact was made on a Tuesday and that a three-year contract has been proposed, contingent on progress in the negotiations.
While discussions remain in early stages, the midfielder himself is said to view the move as an “exceptional opportunity,” aligning with his ambition to play in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
A defensive mainstay during his three-year stint at Ararat-Armenia, Nondi featured in 77 competitive matches. In the past season alone he appeared 28 times, including four outings in the UEFA Europa Conference League play-off stage.
Prior to his time in Armenia, he played in Georgia for Dila Gori and Kolkheti Poti.
On the international front, Nondi has represented Kenya with distinction since his senior debut in 2021. To date, he holds 17 caps for the Harambee Stars, contributing one goal and one assist.
Paris FC’s interest in Nondi highlights the club’s intent to strengthen defensively as they aim to solidify their place back in France’s top flight. A move for the Kenyan midfielder would bring experience, international pedigree, and a disciplined presence in midfield.
Negotiations remain ongoing, with both sides assessing terms. If an agreement is reached, Nondi will bring his experience and stability to a Paris FC side looking to build a competitive core capable of meeting the challenges of Ligue 1.
As talks develop, Paris FC and Nondi both appear aligned in their goal: to craft a lasting partnership that advances both player ambition and club stability in France’s elite division.
