Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan: Reading winger linked with AC Horsens move

Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan, the England- and Nigeria-eligible left winger currently at Reading, is being linked with a move to Danish side AC Horsens from League One. The 23-year-old, who is under contract at Reading until 30 June 2027, has attracted interest from the Superliga club as they explore attacking options for the new season.

Any deal for Ehibhatiomhan would require Horsens to negotiate a transfer fee, with the forward currently valued at around €450,000. There is no indication that Reading are under pressure to sell, and talks are understood to be at a preliminary stage rather than advanced negotiations.

Born in Benin City and standing at 1.91m, Ehibhatiomhan offers a physical presence on the left side of the attack while preferring to operate on his right foot. He wears the number 9 shirt for Reading, having joined the first-team set-up on a long-term basis in July 2023, and has been part of the club’s efforts to rebuild in League One.

His performances in English football have drawn attention from outside the UK, with Horsens viewing the Reading man as a potential addition who could adapt to the demands of the Danish top flight. A move to the Superliga would represent his first step into Scandinavian football.

For now, Ehibhatiomhan remains a Reading player with three years left on his deal, and the League One club retain a strong position over his future as interest from AC Horsens develops.
