Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan: Anglo-Nigerian winger swaps Reading for AC Horsens move

AC Horsens have signed Anglo-Nigerian winger Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan from Reading. The 23-year-old left-sided attacker joins the Danish Superliga club after spending his entire senior career to date with the Berkshire side.

Ehibhatiomhan, born in Benin City and comfortable operating from the left wing on his right foot, arrives in Denmark on the back of a productive spell in the English leagues. Standing at 1.91m, he offers Horsens a physically imposing wide option as they strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.

The move ends a long association with Reading, where he progressed through the youth ranks from the under-18s to the first team. Promoted from Reading’s under-21s to the senior squad in 2023, he went on to feature across League One and the Championship, as well as domestic cup competitions.

In league action, Ehibhatiomhan has made over 120 appearances across England’s third and second tiers, while also showing a goal threat in cup competitions, scoring five times in seven EFL Cup outings. His record at youth and under-21 level included double-figure goal returns in both the Premier League 2 and the Under-18 Premier League, underlining his eye for goal from wide areas.

Ehibhatiomhan’s move, completed on 29 July 2026, sees him leave Reading for the first time in his professional career as he begins a new chapter in the Danish top flight with AC Horsens.
