Keagan Dolly joins Hope FC as newly promoted side strengthen squad

Keagan Dolly has joined Motsepe Foundation Championship newcomers Hope FC after leaving Cape Town City at the end of the 2025/2026 season.

The former Kaizer Chiefs and Cape Town City winger had been without a club since becoming a free agent, but has now agreed a deal with the newly promoted side.

The move gives Hope FC a player with experience at the highest level in both local and overseas football, while Dolly becomes one of the most prominent additions to the club’s squad.

Hope FC announced the signing by welcoming the 33-year-old to the club, who refer to themselves as the Immortals.

Dolly’s arrival also strengthens the experience available to Hope FC as they begin life in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. He will reunite with former Cape Town City team-mate Miguel Timm, who is already part of the club’s squad.

The winger’s career has included spells with both Kaizer Chiefs and Cape Town City, before his departure from City at the conclusion of the 2025/2026 campaign brought his previous chapter to an end.

He remained unattached until Hope FC secured his signature, giving the club an experienced option as they prepare for their first campaign following promotion.

For Hope FC, the signing represents another step in building a squad capable of competing at Championship level. For Dolly, it provides an opportunity to return to club football after his spell as a free agent and continue his career with a newly promoted team.

The club’s statement emphasised both his experience and the quality he can bring, while also making clear that Hope FC want him to enjoy his football and express himself on the pitch.

Dolly will now link up with Timm again at Hope FC, adding further familiarity to the squad as the Immortals establish themselves in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
