Katwijk bring in Moroccan-Dutch striker Ilyas el Moussaoui from NAC Breda

Katwijk have signed 22-year-old Moroccan-Dutch centre-forward Ilyas el Moussaoui from NAC Breda U21 on a free transfer.

El Moussaoui has agreed a contract with the Tweede Divisie club running until 30 June 2027, completing the move on 26 August 2026.

The right-footed striker arrives after two seasons with NAC Breda’s under-21 side, having joined the club from Heerenveen U21 in August 2024. He previously spent time in the academies of Feyenoord, NAC Breda and Roosendaal.

El Moussaoui’s record at youth level includes 16 goals in 37 appearances in U21 Div. 2 Spring, while he scored nine times in 25 matches in U21 Div. 2 Fall. He also registered six goals and two assists in 26 appearances in U21 Div. 1 Fall.

His most productive campaign came in U17 Div. 1 Fall, where he scored 12 goals in 13 matches. He also found the net in the Netherlands Under-19 Cup and U21 Cup, giving him experience across several levels of Dutch youth football.

The move takes El Moussaoui into the Tweede Divisie after his latest spell in the U21 Div. 2 competition. Katwijk will now have the forward available under a deal that keeps him at the club through the end of the 2026-27 season.

Born in Roosendaal, El Moussaoui began his youth career with Unitas ’30 before moving to RBC’s youth setup in 2013. He joined Roosendaal two years later and switched to NAC Breda Youth in 2017, before Feyenoord recruited him in 2018.

At Feyenoord, he progressed from the under-17 team to the under-18 and under-21 squads. He moved to Heerenveen U21 in July 2023 before returning to the NAC system the following year.

Katwijk have completed El Moussaoui’s arrival as a free transfer, with the striker’s contract confirmed until 30 June 2027.
