Karlson Nwanege linked with SJK loan move

Karlson Nwanege could be on the move again, with Finnish club SJK reportedly interested in taking the young Swedish defender on loan from Hellas Verona.

The 21-year-old centre-back has spent the past few years building his career in Italy, but a temporary switch now looks possible.

Nwanege left BK Hackens as a youth player before moving to Hellas Verona in 2022, and he later spent time on loan at Perugia before signing a first-team contract with the Serie A club last summer. That path has given him valuable experience, but it has not yet led to a regular breakthrough in Verona’s senior side.

According to the report, SJK have already brought him in to train with the squad as they assess whether a deal can be completed. The Finnish side are struggling near the bottom of the Veikkausliiga table, so defensive reinforcements are clearly a priority.

Transfermarkt currently values Nwanege at 150,000 euros. With his background in Swedish youth football and his experience abroad, he could offer SJK a low-cost option with room to grow.
