Karim Nedved targets success with Ceramica Cleopatra move
Karim Walid Nedved believes his switch to Ceramica Cleopatra marks a turning point in his career.
The former Al Ahly midfielder is confident that this chapter will bring both personal and team success.
Nedved, who was unveiled by Ceramica this week, praised the club’s ambition and winning mentality. He noted the strong presence of head coach Ali Maher as a big factor in his decision to join.
“I chose to join Ceramica Cleopatra because it has all the ingredients for success,” Nedved told Ceramica Club’s media center. “The presence of Captain Ali Maher at the helm of the technical staff has encouraged me greatly, as he knows my capabilities well and trusts me.”
He added, “The club has achieved outstanding results over the past seasons, winning the Egyptian Capital Cup three consecutive times, which reflects the strength and ambition of the organization.”
Nedved also shared that his former Al Ahly teammate Saad Samir helped him feel confident about the move.
“I have high aspirations with Ceramica for the new season. I aspire to secure a spot in the African Championships, retain the Cairo Capital Cup title, and reach the Egyptian Super Cup final.”
