Karim Coulibaly is being linked with a move from Werder Bremen to Bundesliga rivals Eintracht Frankfurt, with online transfer data currently giving the switch a 21% probability.

The 18-year-old centre-back, who wears the number 31 shirt for Bremen, has emerged as one of the more talked-about young defenders in Germany, and his possible departure is already the subject of speculation on transfer databases as of 17 November 2025. Both clubs are listed as Bundesliga sides, underlining that any move would keep him in Germany’s top flight.

Coulibaly is currently valued at €8.00m, and his stock appears to be rising quickly. Market value records show that his estimated worth climbed from €1.00m in August 2025 to €8.00m by mid-October, a sharp increase that reflects his growing reputation. That figure is forming a reference point in discussions over what sort of deal might be required if Frankfurt decide to firm up their interest.

Public data does not show a contract expiry date for Coulibaly at Bremen, leaving the exact length of his current agreement unclear. That lack of clarity has inevitably led to questions over Bremen’s bargaining position and, in the longer term, whether a free‑agent scenario could arise further down the line.

Born in Oldenburg on 23 May 2007, the 1.91m defender holds both German and Ivorian nationality and plays primarily as a left-footed centre-back. He has spent his entire career to date in Germany, progressing from Bramfelder SV Youth to HSV Barmbek-Uhlenhorst, then through the Hamburger SV youth ranks before joining Werder Bremen’s under‑19s in 2024 and stepping up to the senior side the following year.

Should a move to Frankfurt eventually materialise, it would represent an early but significant crossroads in Coulibaly’s Bundesliga career and could prove a defining step in how his potential is realised and perceived across Europe.
