Karim Adeyemi’s wife sparks Real Madrid debate with ‘140 million’ message

Karim Adeyemi has made an impressive start to the season with Barcelona, with the 24-year-old Germany forward quickly emerging as one of the club’s most significant signings from last summer’s transfer window.

Barcelona paid about 20 million euros to Borussia Dortmund for Adeyemi, a fee that is already being viewed as excellent value given his performances.

After his display against Levante, Adeyemi’s wife posted a comment on his Instagram account that attracted widespread attention.

She first wrote: “Well done, Karim,” before adding: “140 million.”

The message went viral because it referred to the fee Real Madrid paid for Yan Diomande.

Diomande has faced significant criticism after a poor run of form since joining Real Madrid, despite being the most expensive signing in the Spanish club’s history.
