Karim Abdel Haq has opened up about what he calls a bitter experience with Zamalek, claiming the club failed him both on the pitch and financially.
Speaking to Kooora, the midfielder said he spent five years rising through the ranks but was never allowed to play for the first team due to the lack of a proper contract.
“I am a son of Zamalek born in 2001, and I spent 5 years in the club, and I was escalated more than once, but the shock was that I was deprived of participating in any match with the first team because of the lack of a contract between me and the club.”
After moving to Ceramica Cleopatra, he was contacted by Abdul Wahid Al-Sayyid to return and sign.
“I actually went to Zamalek and was notified on the last day of the transfers of my contract. Abdul Wahid Al-Sayed confirmed to me that the total value of the contract is one million pounds per season.”
Ahmed Zizo offered support, but promises fell flat.
“I want to get my right from Zamalek. Abdul Wahid al-Sayyid Turkni did not carry out any promise and evaded clearly.”
