Kamou Malo could be set for a return to the touchline as reports suggest the former Burkina Faso coach is eyeing a fresh challenge with Chad’s national team.
The 62-year-old Burkinabe has officially submitted his candidacy to lead the Chadian side, a role that would mark his return to international management after parting ways with Burkina Faso in 2022.
Malo made headlines in 2021 when he guided the Stallions to a semi-final finish at the Africa Cup of Nations, cementing his status as one of West Africa’s most respected tacticians.
With a strong track record at club level, winning two Premier League titles with RC Kadiogo in 2016 and 2017, and finishing second with USFA in 2018, Malo brings a wealth of experience that could boost Chad’s football ambitions.
His managerial journey began with Majestic and took shape with stints at AS SONABEL and Kadiogo before earning the top job with Burkina Faso in 2019.
