Kamil Conteh: Sierra Leone midfielder leaves Bristol Rovers for Bromley in League One move
Bromley have signed Sierra Leone and England midfielder Kamil Conteh from Bristol Rovers as the newly promoted club strengthen their squad for life in League One. The 23-year-old central midfielder moves across the English pyramid in a completed deal ahead of the new campaign.
Conteh leaves Bristol Rovers, who competed in League Two last season, to join a Bromley side preparing for the demands of a higher division. The switch keeps the midfielder in England and offers him a platform to establish himself at League One level after his time in the fourth tier.
Primarily a central midfielder, Conteh adds energy and technical quality in the middle of the pitch for Bromley. His transfer also reflects his growing standing, with his current market value listed at around 400,000, underlining the regard in which he is held within the lower divisions.
The move marks a significant step in Contehs club career, as he swaps a stable League Two environment for a team looking to consolidate and compete in League One. For Bristol Rovers, his departure closes a chapter, while Bromley gain a versatile midfielder with experience of the English league structure.
Contehs registration has been completed in time for pre-season preparations, and he will now look to settle quickly into his new surroundings as Bromley build towards their first campaign with him in their League One squad.
