Kamel Chafni, who played for Brest last season, has opted for a new chapter in his career following the relegation of the Breton club. The Moroccan midfielder has officially signed with SCC Al Dhafra in the United Arab Emirates. The transfer was announced on Monday, and the player has been presented by his new club.
At 31 years old, Kamel Chafni agreed to a one-year contract with the Gulf club. While he has previously played for French clubs such as Sochaux, Châteauroux, and Auxerre, this move marks his first venture outside of Ligue 1.
Chafni is set to join another Moroccan player, Abdelazziz Barrada, in the Emirates. Barrada had signed with Al Jazira the previous week. This new venture in the United Arab Emirates presents an opportunity for Kamel Chafni to bring his experience and skills to a different footballing landscape.
