Kaizer Chiefs return to DStv Premiership action on Saturday, aiming for a second consecutive victory when they take on Royal AM at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

Amakhosi head into the match buoyed by their 2-1 triumph over Richards Bay on Wednesday, a result that lifted them to 10 points from six games.

The midweek victory provided a crucial confidence boost, as the team strives to climb higher in the league standings.

Chiefs have turned the Peter Mokaba Stadium into a fortress of late, enjoying a strong run of form at the venue.

Currently sixth in the Premiership table, they will be eager to secure another three points to consolidate their position among the top contenders.

The last two meetings between Kaizer Chiefs and Royal AM both ended in draws, adding extra incentive for the Glamour Boys to break the deadlock and claim a win.

For Royal AM, the match represents an opportunity to recover from their recent 1-0 home defeat to Golden Arrows, which saw them slip further down the table.

Despite their optimism, Chiefs face a defensive dilemma with two key players sidelined.

Inacio Miguel remains suspended after his red card in the Carling Knockout quarterfinal against Mamelodi Sundowns, while Reeve Frosler is also unavailable following his dismissal during the clash with Richards Bay.

The absence of these defenders will test Chiefs’ depth, but coach Molefi Ntseki will be hopeful that his side can rise to the challenge and continue their push for consistency in the league.

Royal AM will aim to exploit these absences as they look to derail Chiefs’ momentum. However, with the stakes high and Amakhosi determined to deliver for their loyal supporters, the encounter promises to be fiercely contested.

Kickoff is set for 8:00 PM EAT, and fans will be watching closely to see if Chiefs can build on their recent success and keep their Premiership ambitions alive.
