South African outfit Kaizer Chiefs are pushing for the acquisition of DR Congo and Pyramids star Fiston Mayele as the summer transfer window approaches.
The Soweto giants are seeking to strengthen their squad for the new campaign following an inconsistent performance this season.
However, Kaizer Chiefs have identified Mayele as the perfect player to solidify their attack of the team next season.
According to reports, talks between both parties are progressing as Kaizer Chiefs intensify their pursuit of the enterprising forward.
Kaizer Chiefs are desperate to turnaround things around next season and are expected to do everything possible to snap up the striker.
Mayele has been a standout performer for Pyramids, who are currently in the final of this year’s CAF Champions League. He has racked up 16 goals and delivered two assists in 36 appearances for the Egyptian club across competitions.
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old current contract with Pyramids is expected to expire in the summer of 2026.
