Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Sibongiseni Mthethwa is unsure about his return to action from his long term injury lay-off.
The enterprising midfielder has been out of action for the Soweto giants since last month after succumbing to an injury setback. He had established himself as a mainstay in the Kaizer Chiefs squad before the setback.
But injuries has hampered the progress of the highly-rated South African midfielder, as he continues his recovery.
“It’s been hard, but I’m getting there and improving. Hopefully, I will be back soon, even though I can’t say exactly when that will be,” said Mthethwa on FarPost.
“This is my first time dealing with a long-term injury, but the support from the team, including the doctors, has been great. Even my teammates are helping me a lot.”
Mthethwa watched from the stands when Kaizer Chiefs succumbed to a defeat to his former club, Stellenbosch FC in the Nedbank Cup in midweek.
In the penultimate CAF Confederation Cup group stage clash on Saturday, Kaizer Chiefs triumphed over Al Masry 2-1 to go top of their group.
The 31-year-old midfielder has made 18 appearances across competitions for Kaizer Chiefs in the current campaign.
