Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Mduduzi Shabalala has expressed his delight after reaching a landmark 100 games for the club.

The enterprising midfielder celebrated the milestone in style by helping the Soweto giants to secure victory over Zesco United in the fourth round of the CAF Confederation Cup last Sunday.

Shabalala made his debut three seasons ago under then manager Arthur Zwane and has since established himself as a key member of the team.

However, the midfielder has expressed his joy in achieving such feat, while aiming to achieve greater things at the club.

“It means a lot to me, because it was a dream also to me to play for this club when I was young,” said Shabalala.

“And I’m happy that the club has given me an opportunity to showcase my talent even though it hasn’t been easy but I’m happy for the opportunity.”

In his 100 appearances for Chiefs, the recently capped Bafana Bafana international has scored 11 goals and recorded six assists.
