Kaizer Chiefs are keeping a close eye on South African international Cassius Mailula as the summer transfer window approaches.
The 23-year-old is currently on loan a season-long loan at Wydad Casablanca from American outfit Toronto FC. Mailula joined the Moroccan giants last summer on loan with an option to buy.
The talented attacker has established himself as a key member of Wydad Casablanca since his arrival, making 36 appearances, scoring three goals and delivering six assists across competitions.
As the summer transfer window approaches, Kaizer Chiefs, who are seeking to bolster their squad has set sights on securing the services of top players, with Mailula no exception.
Meanwhile, Wydad are also aiming to buy out the contract, and unnamed European clubs are also monitoring Mailula. Additionally, Kaizer Chiefs must overcome Toronto’s desire to keep the former Mamelodi Sundowns player in the team.
However, the Canadian club, which competes in the MLS, might decide to transfer the player. The move could be either on a permanent basis or as a loan.
