Kaizer Chiefs forward Ashley Du Preez set to join Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch FC are reportedly exploring a move to bring former star forward Ashley Du Preez back to the Cape Winelands, with the attacker believed to be on the verge of leaving Kaizer Chiefs after a frustrating campaign.

Du Preez’s future at Naturena has become increasingly uncertain following a season in which he struggled for game time and failed to make the impact many expected. The speedy forward featured in fewer than five Betway Premiership matches during the campaign, a significant decline for a player who was once regarded as one of Chiefs’ most dangerous attacking weapons.

The difficult season has not gone unnoticed by the player himself. Du Preez recently acknowledged on social media that he endured a disappointing campaign and fell short of the standards he had set for himself.
